Landing pages for SaaS companies
SaaS buyers compare three or four tools before booking a demo. A SaaS landing page has to show, in one screen, who the product is for, the outcome it delivers and why it's worth 30 minutes of their time.

Why SaaS pages convert lower, and what fixes it
In Unbounce's 2024 benchmark data, the median SaaS landing page converted 3.8% of visitors, below the 6.6% median across all industries (Unbounce, MarketingProfs). A demo is a bigger ask than a free quote. The pages that beat the median make that ask feel small: a clear outcome, real product screens, proof from similar companies and a short form.
What a SaaS landing page should include
- A headline built on the job to be done. "Close your books in 3 days, not 10", not "The all-in-one finance platform".
- Product screenshots or a short loop, showing the actual interface.
- Proof by segment. Logos and quotes from companies like the visitor's (size, industry, region).
- The offer and its cost. Free trial length, demo length, and whether a card is needed.
- Integrations the buyer already uses.
- Security and compliance badges where they apply (SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001), only if you hold them.
- One action. Book a demo or start a trial, not both competing.
Form fields for demo requests
Work email, company name, team size and one qualifying question are usually enough. Enrich the rest with a tool like Clearbit or Apollo instead of asking. If you route leads by region or size, add hidden fields for UTM source and campaign so sales knows which ad produced each demo.
Tracking for SaaS campaigns
- Google Ads and LinkedIn conversion tags on the form submission.
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API if you advertise on Meta.
- UTM, gclid and li_fat_id captured with each lead and passed to HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Offline conversions (qualified demo, closed deal) sent back to the ad platforms so they optimise for pipeline, not form fills.
Frequently asked questions
Should a SaaS landing page show pricing?
If your pricing is public, link to it or show the starting price. Hiding it pushes price-sensitive visitors to leave and find it on a competitor's site.
Demo or free trial: which converts better?
A free trial usually converts more visitors; a demo usually produces fewer but more qualified leads. Pick the one that matches your sales motion and test it.
Can you connect the form to HubSpot?
Yes, with the CRM integration add-on, tested with a live submission before handover.
